A non-injury structure fire in a Palm Desert apartment complex left two adults displaced Tuesday.

The Riverside County Fire Department received a report of the fire at 12:20 p.m. at the Mirabella Apartments complex in the 40000 block of Washington Street.

Firefighters arrived to find signs of light smoke coming from the second floor of the building. Crews were able to quickly locate and contain the fire, which had broken out in a single unit of the building, within 30 minutes of it being reported.

The American Red Cross was requested to assist two adults who were displaced by the blaze.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.
