Firefighters Saturday morning were dousing the remaining hot spots of a wildfire that ignited north of Moreno Valley.
The blaze was reported at 9:34 p.m. Friday near San Timoteo Canyon Road and Viper Road, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
The fire blackened five to six acres before its forward progress was stopped, fire officials said.
No injuries were reported.
