A fire tore through approximately 10 vehicles and left one person with a burn injury in a residential neighborhood of Jurupa Valley Sunday.
The fire was reported at 10:24 a.m. in the 2700 block of Avalon Street, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
Fire officials said the flames, which were sparked by a vehicle, sent one person to the hospital with a burn injury and burned about 10 vehicles, along with surrounding vegetation.
No firefighter injuries were reported and the blaze was knocked down by about 11:20 a.m.
Firefighters were on high alert Sunday as strong gusts and low humidity triggered a red flag warning for much of the Southland.
