Firefighters responded to a fire burning in a grove of tamarisk trees in Rancho Mirage Saturday.
The fire started at about 12:40 p.m. at the intersection of Ramon and Bob Hope drives, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
Firefighters reported that a fire was burning in a 100-feet-by-30-feet stretch of tamarisk trees surrounded by dry vegetation.
