Firefighters put out a fire burning in two dumpsters and a shipping container behind a tire shop in Riverside early Sunday morning.
The fire was reported at 2:47 a.m. at America’s Tire in the 10300 block of Magnolia Avenue, according the Riverside Fire Department.
Firefighters arrived to find two dumpsters and a pallet of cardboard stored against a shipping container burning behind the shopping complex.
Fire crews later found scorched mattresses inside of the shipping container, according to the fire department.
The cause of the fire — which caused about $12,000 in damage — was under investigation.
