A motorist killed in a two-car collision at a Jurupa Valley intersection was identified Thursday as a 53-year-old Riverside resident.
Katherine Hoth was fatally injured at about 7:10 a.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Limonite Avenue and Clay Street, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
Sgt. Javier Morando said Hoth was at the wheel of a vehicle that impacted another car, though the circumstances and which party was at fault were still under investigation.
Morando said paramedics reached the location within a few minutes and pronounced the victim dead at the scene. Her passenger suffered unspecified injuries and was taken to Riverside Community Hospital for evaluation, along with the driver of the other vehicle.
Limonite was shut down in both directions between Baldwin Avenue and Spectrum Center for several hours while a preliminary investigation was conducted and the wreckage was cleared.
