A driver needed transportation via helicopter to a nearby medical center Friday after a vehicle rolled over near Desert Center.
The Riverside County Fire Department received a report of the single-vehicle crash at 3:44 p.m. Friday on Highway 177 near mile post 9 in Desert Center.
Emergency responders arrived to find a single vehicle rolled over with one occupant inside. The victim was able to exit the vehicle and was then taken via helicopter to a nearby trauma center for treatment of moderate injuries.
The cause of the accident was under investigation.
