A fire that erupted Friday in a Blythe home caused major damage, but no injuries were reported.
The blaze broke out shortly after 7 a.m. in the area of D Boulevard and Eighth Street, on the north end of the city, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
The agency said that multiple engine crews were sent to the location and found the single-story residence “well-involved with fire.”
Crews battled the flames for nearly an hour before the blaze was knocked down.
It was not immediately clear whether the property was occupied and anyone was displaced.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
