A frost advisory is in effect for parts of Riverside County, Riverside valleys and Inland Empire Monday, according to the National Weather Service.
The frost advisory is issued until 8 a.m.
A wind advisory is also in effect from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday.
Temperatures are expected to drop to 34 degrees and will result in frost formation. The coldest temperatures are expected in the southern and eastern portions of the Inland Empire.
Winds are expected to be between 15 and 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph.
Tree limbs could be blown down and power outages might result. Frost can kill sensitive outdoor vegetation if left uncovered.
The National Weather Service recommends using caution when driving, especially in high profile vehicles, and securing outdoor objects.
The National Weather Service also recommends taking steps to protect tender plants from the cold.
