An ambulance was initially summoned to the location, but fire officials canceled it after all engine crew members and the minivan driver were assessed and determined not to be hurt, according to reports from the scene.
The CHP, which handles patrol operations in unincorporated communities, said that the Honda sustained extensive damage, requiring a tow truck to remove it.
The amount of damage to the fire engine was unclear, and a Cal Fire mechanic was requested to inspect the emergency vehicle to ensure it remained safe to drive, officials said.
