Residents of a recreational vehicle park were evacuated Thursday due to a 400-acre vegetation fire that is 0% contained and posing a structure threat to the Lost Lake Resort north of Blythe, near the Arizona border.

What was initially a 25-acre vegetation fire broke out around 11:50 a.m. near the recreational vehicle park, the Riverside County Fire Department reported. The department announced at 8:10 p.m. the fire had grown from 250 acres.

The fire prompted the closure of northbound and southbound lanes of Highway 95 between Agnes Wilson Road and Second Avenue, Caltrans reported. There is no estimated time when the lanes will reopen, according to Caltrans.
Southern California Edison also responded to the scene for downed power lines, though it was not immediately known if the fire resulted in any power outages.
Firefighters from the Bureau of Indian Affairs and Colorado River Indian Tribes assisted in the firefight.
There were no reported injuries.
