An auction of automobiles, appliances, furniture, jewelry and other items from estates placed under the management of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department will be held in less than two weeks, with prospective bidder registration open Friday.

Hesperia-based Bid Fast & Last is coordinating with the sheriff’s Office of the Public Administrator to provide the live internet-based engagement, scheduled for 10 a.m. on July 13.

According to officials, interested bidders will be permitted to view items on the auction block via in-person visits to the sheriff’s Perris warehouse where they’re stored. The preview is slated ahead of the auction at 8 a.m. on July 13 at 800 S. Redlands Ave.

Items up for grabs include sedans, pickups, SUVs, hundreds of vinyl records, DVD libraries, power tools, wood furniture, gold and diamond rings, high-end pocket and wrist watches, paintings, flat screen televisions, golf clubs, hunting gear and Hot Wheels collectables.

A couple of the more unusual products available include a Coca Cola ice chest and an early 20th century Victrola record player.

Bidding will be open at, using the page “Riverside Public Administrator Auction.”

The Office of the Public Administrator assumes control of some estates within the county’s jurisdiction when there are no heirs.
