A semi-truck spilled about 200 gallons of diesel fuel at a gas station in Blythe Wednesday, prompting a hazardous materials cleanup.

A CHP officer rolled up at 10:13 a.m. Wednesday to a semi-truck that was leaking fuel at a Chevron north of Interstate 10, according to a CHP public information officer.

The agency said a hazmat unit was sent to the location to clean up the fuel, but no road closures were ordered.

The cause of the spill was not immediately known.

No waterways were affected.
