Rain is expected in Riverside County starting Wednesday and continuing into the weekend, forecasters said Sunday.
Cloudy skies will start covering the downtown Riverside and Hemet areas on Tuesday night, and showers are expected Wednesday morning, according to the National Weather Service. Temperatures in both areas will range from the mid-60s to the low 70s during the day and drop to the low 50s at night on Wednesday to Saturday.
The Coachella Valley is also expected to get rain from Wednesday to Saturday, but with slightly warmer temperatures in the mid-70s during the day and mid-50s at night.
The season’s first snowfall is also possible later this week in the higher passes of the Riverside County mountains.
