The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Riverside County dropped Sunday for the 57th time in the last 58 days, inching down one-tenth of a cent to $4.834, its lowest amount since July 12.

The average price has dropped $1.317 over the past 58 days, including seven-tenths of a cent Saturday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It is 7.6 cents less than one week ago, 51.2 cents lower than one month ago and 18 cents cheaper than one year ago.

The average price has dropped $1.539 since rising to a record $6.373 on Oct. 5, 2022.

The national average price dropped for the 59th consecutive day, falling six-tenths of a cent to $3.253. It has dropped 58.3 cents over the past 59 days, including six-tenths of a cent Saturday.

The national average price is 6 cents less than one week ago, 27.8 cents lower than one month ago and 31.3 cents cheaper than one year ago. It has dropped $1.763 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
