The Riverside County Fire Department held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Fire Station 41 in North Shore Saturday.

The new station is located at 99064 Sea View Drive, and was largely funded by the Riverside County Development Impact Fee program, according to the department.

“We are really proud of this new, beautiful station that will allow our first responders to be safe, comfortable and as always, ready to serve the citizens of Riverside County,” Fire Chief Bill Weiser said.

The station is energy-efficient and includes individual bedrooms and additional restrooms to afford first responders more space and privacy, officials said.

It also includes state-of-the-art systems for cleaning personal protective equipment, as well as a fully enclosed engine bay, which will help protect and prolong the life of equipment from the harsh, dry desert climate.

Weiser thanked Supervisor V. Manuel Perez, the County Executive Office and the Riverside County Facilities Management Agency for their cooperation in completing the project.
