The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Riverside County dropped Friday for the 74th time in the last 75 days, decreasing 3 cents to $4.581.
The average price has dropped $1.568 over the past 75 days, including 2.5 cents Thursday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
It is 9.6 cents less than one week ago and 40.1 cents lower than one month ago, but 19.5 cents more than one year ago. The average price has dropped $1.792 since rising to a record $6.373 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The national average price dropped for the 75th time in 78 days, falling 1.7 cents to $3.087. It is 9.8 cents less than one week ago, 25.8 cents lower than one month ago and 10.6 cents cheaper than one year ago.
The national average price has dropped $1.929 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
