A paraglider was killed Sunday in an unincorporated area near San Jacinto, the Riverside County Fire Department announced.
Firefighters and law enforcement personnel attempted a rescue at around 9:45 a.m. Sunday near the 200 block of Soboba Road. Rescuers made access to the paraglider, who was down near the 1,000-foot level on the mountainside, according to the fire department.
Upon arrival, paramedics pronounced the paraglider dead at the scene. The victim’s identity was not immediately available.
