The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Riverside County declined one-tenth of a cent Monday to $4.692, two days after a streak of 21 consecutive increases ended.
The average price is 6 cents more than one week ago and 30.3 cents more than one month ago, but six-tenths of a cent less than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has dropped $1.681 since rising to a record $6.373 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The national average price remained the same at $3.279. It is 8.3 cents more than one week ago and 19.1 cents more than one month ago, but 13.4 cents less than one year ago. The national average price has dropped $1.737 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
