The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Riverside County dropped Monday for the 20th time in the last 21 days, decreasing three-tenths of a cent to $5.078, a day after it dropped six-tenths of a cent.
The average price has decreased 21.2 cents over the past 21 days, including 1.2 cents Saturday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It is 9.2 cents less than one week ago and 23.8 cents less than one month ago, but 30.8 cents more than one year ago. It has dropped $1.295 since rising to a record $6.373 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The national average price dropped for the 10th time in 11 days, falling one-tenth of a cent to $3.59. It has dropped 5.2 cents over the past 11 days, including two-tenths of a cent Sunday.
The national average price is 2.9 cents less than one week ago and 8.6 cents less than one month ago, but 5 cents more than one year ago, and has dropped $1.426 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
