A four-vehicle crash on the Pomona (60) Freeway in Jurupa Valley Thursday sent four people to the hospital.
The chain collision occurred just before 8 a.m. on the eastbound 60 near Valley Way, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
The agency said that multiple engine crews and a paramedic squad were sent to the pileup and immediately began rendering aid to the victims.
The four parties were taken to a regional trauma center for treatment of moderate injuries, officials said.
Two traffic lanes were obstructed as a result of the crash, which California Highway Patrol officers cleared by 11 a.m.
There was no immediate word concerning exactly what triggered the multi-vehicle collision. The investigation was ongoing.
