A motorcyclist later died at a hospital after sustaining fatal injuries from a traffic collision in Temecula, authorities said Friday.
Deputies responded to the intersection of Wolf Valley Road and Camino Olite shortly before 7 p.m. Thursday regarding a traffic collision involving a motorcycle whose rider was left unresponsive on the ground, according to Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Sgt. Joey Sinz.
The motorcyclist was transported to a hospital, where the victim later died.
According to Sinz, a preliminary investigation revealed that a vehicle was traveling southbound on Wolf Valley Road before initiating a left turn and crashing into the motorcycle heading northbound. The investigation remains ongoing.
Authorities were withholding the identity of the victim pending notification of relatives.
