The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Riverside County dropped Tuesday for the 28th time in the last 29 days Tuesday, decreasing two-tenths of a cent to $4.984, a day after it dropped six-tenths of a cent.
It is 8.2 cents less than one week ago and 30.6 cents less than one month ago, but 16.2 cents more than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has dropped $1.389 since rising to a record $6.373 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The national average price dropped six-tenths of a cent to $3.586, a day after in fell one-tenth of a cent.
It is 1.2 cents more than one week ago, 7.1 cents less than one month ago, and eight-tenths of a cent more than one year ago. The national average price has dropped $1.43 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
