The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Riverside County dropped Thursday for the 30th time in the last 31 days, decreasing eight-tenths of a cent to $4.758, its lowest amount since March 2.

The average price has dropped 41.2 cents over the past 31 days, including 2 cents Wednesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It is 9.5 cents less than one week ago, 41.2 cents less than one month ago and 9.5 cents less than one year ago. It has dropped $1.615 since rising to a record $6.373 on Oct. 5, 2022.

The national average price rose six-tenths of a cent to $3.46, a day after increasing 1.3 cents. It has dropped 15.5 cents over the past 21 days, including four-tenths of a cent Tuesday.

The national average price is 2.7 cents less than one week ago, 15.9 cents less than one month ago and 13.2 cents less than one year ago. It has dropped $1.556 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
