The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Riverside County dropped seven-tenths of a cent Sunday to $4.696.
The average price is one-tenth of a cent less than one week ago, 13.2 cents less than one month ago and 9.3 cents less than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has dropped $1.677 since rising to a record $6.373 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The national average price dropped three-tenths of a cent to $3.506. It is 1.4 cents more than one week ago and 3.5 cents more than one month ago, but 3.1 cents less than one year ago. The national average price has dropped $1.51 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
