A motorcyclist was killed Thursday in a collision at a San Jacinto intersection that also left a motorist injured.

The wreck happened around 7:40 a.m. Thursday at East Seventh and Hewitt streets, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The agency said the motorcycle collided with a sedan, but no other details were immediately available.

The motorcyclist, whose identity was not disclosed, was ejected onto the roadway, suffering severe injuries. Riverside County Fire Department paramedics reached the location within 10 minutes and pronounced the rider dead at the scene.
