The driver of a red Cadillac lost control of the car, allegedly while speeding, on the 10 Freeway near Whitewater Wednesday and crashed into the center divider.
The crash occurred at 4:53 p.m. Wednesday, according to California Highway Patrol records. The driver was heading east on the freeway when the sedan crashed between Whitewater and Palm Springs.
No other vehicles were involved in the collision.
According to CHP records, the Cadillac was traveling over 90 mph when it struck the center divider, leaving the vehicle in the opposite fast lane and debris on the westbound side of the freeway.
An ambulance was called to the scene, but there was no immediate information on the nature of any injuries.
