An outage cut power to more than 200 Imperial Irrigation District customers Tuesday in the midst of a severe weather alert in the Indio area.
The utility alerted the public shortly after 10:30 a.m. Tuesday that a power outage was affecting the areas of Ruby Avenue, Dillon Avenue, Tourmaline Avenue and Jackson Street and that a troubleshooter was on the scene.
The cause of the outage was not clear.
Power was restored within an hour, IID officials said. Anyone who continued to have issues was asked to call the utility at 800-303-7756.
The IID provides electricity to more than 150,000 customers in parts of Riverside and San Diego counties, and to all of Imperial County.
