A motorcyclist was killed Wednesday in a fiery collision with a vehicle in Indio.
The crash occurred at about 8:20 a.m. Wednesday in the 81200 block of Avenue 48, according to a Riverside County Fire Department statement. Firefighters reached the scene of the crash, where the rider, later identified as 20-year-old Bryan Rodriguez, a local resident, was pronounced dead.
No injuries were reported for the vehicle driver.
The Indio Police Department assumed the investigation, issuing a notice about closures near the intersection of Avenue 48 and Madison Street, the intersection of Avenue 48 and Calle Diamanté and the intersection of Avenue 49 and Hjorth Street.
