A 20-year-old man who was killed riding a motorcycle after he crashed into a vehicle in a Central-Alameda intersection was identified by county authorities Friday.
Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s office determined the victim was Ernesto Fontes.
The crash occurred at about 4:30 p.m. Sunday at East 53rd Street and Compton Avenue, according to a Los Angeles Police Department spokesman.
The motorcycle rider, Fontes, was southbound on Compton Avenue and the vehicle was eastbound on 53rd Street when the collision occurred, he said.
Fontes was ejected from the motorcycle and landed on the ground, the spokesman said. Paramedics rushed Fontes to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
