A fire destroyed two houses in Desert Hot Springs Tuesday, and two people were injured.
Fire crews were sent around at 5:35 a.m. to the 66800 block of Estrella Avenue, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
The flames started in a single-story home and spread to the house directly to the east, burning down each home, fire officials said.
Two people suffered minor injuries but declined further medical assistance, according to the department.
Fire officials said seven people were displaced.
The cause of the fire remained under investigation.
