An outage cut power Tuesday to 2,400 Imperial Irrigation District customers in the Coachella Valley.
The utility alerted the public at about 7:15 a.m. Tuesday that a power outage was affecting the cities of Rancho Mirage and Thousand Palms.
All power was restored in the area within 90 minutes, according to an update from the IID. Anyone who continued to have power issues was asked to call the utility at 800-303-7756.
Utility officials said the cause of the outage was not known.
The IID provides electricity to more than 150,000 customers in parts of Riverside and San Diego counties, as well as all of Imperial County.
