The average price of a gallon of self-service regular gasoline in Riverside County dropped to its lowest amount since Jan. 27 Thursday, decreasing seven-tenths of a cent to $4.392.
The average price has decreased 10 consecutive days, dropping 6.7 cents, including a half-cent Wednesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It is 3.6 cents less than one week ago, 9.6 cents lower than one month ago and $1.676 below what it was one year ago.
The average price has dropped $1.981 since rising to a record $6.373 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The national average price dropped for the sixth consecutive day after a four-day streak of increases totaling 1.5 cents, decreasing six-tenths of a cent to $3.19. It has dropped 3.3 cents over the past six days, including eight-tenths of a cent Wednesday.
The national average price is 3 cents less than one week ago, 13.5 cents lower than one month ago and 60.8 cents below what it was one year ago. It has dropped $1.826 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
