The average price of a gallon of self-service regular gasoline in Riverside County dropped Saturday for the fourth consecutive day following a run of 11 increases in 12 days totaling 7.9 cents, decreasing 1.2 cents to $4.444.
The average price has dropped 2.7 cents over the past four days, including one-tenth of a cent Friday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It is 1.2 cents less than one week ago, 4 cents lower than one month ago and $1.087 lower than one year ago.
The average price has dropped $1.929 since rising to a record $6.373 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The national average price dropped for the third consecutive day, decreasing eight-tenths of a cent to $3.183. It has dropped 2.1 cents over the past three days, including a half-cent Friday.
The national average price is 2.1 cents less than one week ago, 4.1 cents lower than one month ago and 38.2 cents lower than one year ago. It has dropped $1.833 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
