Elle King will take the stage at Spotlight 29’s Showcase Showroom Saturday.
The Southern California-born singer-songwriter is known for a signature blend of rock, blues and pop throughout her discography.
King, the daughter of comedian Rob Schneider and model London King, has lived in several cities since her parents’ divorce, including Columbus, Philadelphia and Copenhagen, Denmark — developing her musical style along the way. She currently resides in Brooklyn.
She signed with RCA Records and made a name for herself with her 2015 debut album “Love Stuff” — the lead single, “Ex’s and Oh’s,” became critically acclaimed, earning 4x Platinum status and two Grammy Award nominations.
Since then, King has toured with the likes of Joan Jett and Miranda Lambert, releasing two more albums and picking up two additional Grammy nominations along the way. In an interview with People, she called her latest studio project “much more revealing about my life and about a part of my life that I’ve been so protective of.”
After her 8 p.m. concert in the Coachella Valley, King is scheduled to appear at Giddy Up Fest in Las Vegas on Sunday before playing a series of shows in the eastern half of the country.
