The average price of a gallon of self-service regular gasoline in Riverside County dropped Wednesday to its lowest amount since Jan. 26, decreasing three-tenths of a cent to $4.364, one day after dropping 1.4 cents.

The average price is 3.7 cents less than one week ago, 5.9 cents lower than one month ago and 72.6 cents below what it was one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has dropped $2.009 since rising to a record $6.373 on Oct. 5, 2022.

The national average price rose a half-cent to $3.107, one day after a five-day streak of decreases to the national average price totaling 3.4 cents ended with an increase of one-tenth of a cent. It is 2.8 cents less than one week ago, 6.6 cents lower than one month ago and 31.1 cents below what it was one year ago.

The national average price has dropped $1.909 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
