An outage left approximately 25 Imperial Irrigation District customers in Thermal without power Thursday after a car struck a utility pole, officials said.
The utility alerted the public at 9:30 a.m. Thursday that an outage was affecting the area.
A troubleshooter was on-site, and the utility estimated power would be restored within six hours, according to a department statement.
IID officials said updates would be provided as the situation develops
The utility provides electricity to more than 150,000 customers in parts of Riverside and San Diego counties, as well as all of Imperial County.
