The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Riverside County rose Wednesday for the seventh time in eight days, increasing 2.9 cents to $4.431.

The average price has increased 7.3 cents over the past eight days, including 1.1 cents Tuesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It rose four consecutive days, was unchanged Sunday and resumed increasing Monday.

The average price is 6.8 cents more than one week ago, 12.1 cents more than one month ago but 12.2 cents less than one year ago. It has dropped $1.942 since rising to a record $6.373 on Oct. 5, 2022.

The national average price rose 1.8 cents to $3.125, a day after it rose nine-tenths of a cent. It is a half-cent more than one week ago, 6.4 cents more than a month ago but 2.3 cents less than a year ago.

The national average price has dropped $1.891 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
