The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Riverside County rose 4.7 cents Wednesday to $4.602, a day after rising 3.1 cents and reached its highest amount since July 31.
The average price has increased 14 of the past 15 days, increasing 24.4 cents, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It increased four consecutive days, was unchanged Feb. 2 and resumed rising Feb. 3.
The average price is 17.1 cents more than one week ago and 28.7 cents higher than one month ago, but 3 cents less than one year ago. It has dropped $1.771 since rising to a record $6.373 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The national average price rose eight-tenths of a cent to $3.149, a day after rising two-tenths of a cent and the third day in a row it went up. It is 2.4 cents more than one week ago and 8.2 cents higher than one month ago, but 4.7 cents less than a year ago.
The national average price has dropped $1.867 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
