A 68-year-old man who went missing after leaving his Moreno Valley home was the subject of a regional search Thursday.

Carlos Dominguez Capote was last seen in the predawn hours Tuesday in the area of Hubbard Street and Skyland Drive, on the north end of the city, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The agency issued a “Silver Alert” after receiving the missing person notification from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department. Silver Alerts focus on finding missing seniors, who are often suffering from health complications or are otherwise considered at-risk, throughout the state.

Authorities were uncertain Thursday where Capote may have gone. He left no word with loved ones before wandering away from the location.

The missing man is 5 feet, 4 inches tall and 175 pounds, with gray hair down to the collar, brown eyes and a gray mustache. He was last seen wearing a green jacket, gray-and-white shirt and blue jeans, according to the CHP.

Anyone with information was asked to immediately contact their local law enforcement agency, or dial 911.
