The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Riverside County dropped Monday for the 13th time in 14 days, falling two-tenths of a cent to $4.542.
The average price has decreased 11.8 cents over the past 14 days, including seven-tenths of a cent Sunday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The average price is 6.6 cents less than one week ago and 27 cents less than one year ago, but 1.8 cents more than one month ago. It has dropped $1.831 since rising to a record $6.373 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The national average price was unchanged at $3.089 after dropping for three days in a row. The national average price is eight-tenths of a cent less than one week ago, 5 cents less than a month ago and 30.5 cents less than one year ago.
It has dropped $1.927 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
Drivers in parts of the nation could see fluctuations at the pump due to markets and the transition to summer-grade gasoline, which is more expensive to produce, according to the AAA.
