The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Riverside County was unchanged Saturday at $4.81, its highest amount since June 8.
The average price had risen for 12 consecutive days, increasing 31.6 cents, according to figures from the AAA and the Oil Price Information Service. It is 17.6 cents more than one week ago and 22.1 cents more than one month ago, but 37.6 cents less than one year ago. It has dropped $1.563 since rising to a record $6.373 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The national average price dropped six-tenths of a cent to $3.262 after increasing 11 times in the previous 12 days. It is 10.3 cents more than one week ago and 15.5 cents more than one month ago, but 32 cents less than one year ago. It has dropped $1.754 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
