The Palm Springs Unified School District is seeking input from parents, staff, students and community members in the search for the new superintendent of schools, officials announced Monday.
Current Superintendent of Schools Dr. Tonaiuth ”Tony” Signoret is set to retire June 30.
The district seeks input through an online survey that expires on April 30 and from in-person meetings.
The survey can be found at docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeO8v4JiDU3cFt9dJ_eLHSeX5oSeXCZFERoLlpTmlQct3L2wQ/viewform.
In-person meetings are scheduled for 6 p.m. at the following locations:
— Desert Springs Middle School MPR, 6675 Two Bunch Palm Trail, on April 28;
— Palm Springs Unified School District board room on April 29; and
— James Workman Middle School MPR, 69300 30th Avenue, in Cathedral City on April 30.
Although the board has hired a consulting firm to assist with the search, officials said the feedback will help identify the attributes and qualifications the community wants in the next superintendent.
