The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Riverside County dropped nine-tenths of a cent Sunday to $4.591, its 12th decrease in 13 days.
The average price has dropped 11.9 cents over the past 13 days, including 1.5 cents Saturday, according to figures from the AAA and the Oil Price Information Service. It is 6.9 cents less than one week ago, 21.9 cents less than one month ago and 65.8 cents less than one year ago. It has dropped $1.782 since rising to a record $6.373 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The national average price dropped a half-cent to $3.165. It is 1.6 cents more than one week ago, but 10.2 cents less than one month ago and 49.3 cents less than one year ago. The national average price has dropped $1.851 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
