Palm Springs Pride will host its first-ever Pride Equality Walk later this year to advocate for inclusion and equality.
The Coachella Valley’s oldest pride organization announced Tuesday that the free event will be held at 8:30 a.m. on Oct. 25 in the city’s Arenas District, located at E. Arenas Road.
Organizers said the community event aims to demonstrate a commitment to universal respect and an unwavering demand for equality.
“With fundamental rights of our LGBTQ+ community under siege, the Pride Equality Walk is our united front,” Palms Springs Mayor Ron deHarte said in a statement. “Our amplified voices will not be silenced. Let our conviction ignite and unstoppable movement for a brighter, more equitable future.”
Attendees must register at pspride.org/walk. Additional details about the event will be announced in the coming months.
