The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Riverside County rose Friday for the ninth consecutive day, increasing a half-cent to $4.698.
The average price has increased 11.4 cents over the past nine days, including nine-tenths of a cent Thursday, according to figures from the AAA and the Oil Price Information Service. It is 7.2 cents more than one week ago, but 3.5 cents less than one month ago and 42 cents lower than one year ago.
The average price has dropped $1.675 since rising to a record $6.373 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The national average price was unchanged at $3.192 ending a run of four days of increases. It has risen 5.7 cents over the past five days.
The national average price is 4.7 cents more than one week ago, 2.3 cents more than one month ago and 40.8 cents below what is was one year ago. It has dropped $1.824 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
