The third annual Down Syndrome International Film Festival continues Saturday in Cathedral City, featuring screenings of short films, feature films, music videos from around the world and conversations with actors and directors.
The event will continue through Sunday at the Mary Pickford Theatre, located at 36850 Pickfair St. On Saturday, the festival will run from 9 a.m. until 10 p.m., and from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Sunday.
Friday’s opening day included actor Zack Gottsagen from the film “The Peanut Butter Falcon” and the festival’s opening day film “God Save the Queens” delivering a keynote address.
Festival founders and producers Steven Roche and Paul Belsito were also scheduled to give remarks on opening night.
Proceeds from the festival benefit Ezekiel’s Gift of Love Coachella Valley Down Syndrome Foundation, which provides support to families and individuals with Down syndrome.
