The mercury will be moving up Wednesday in Riverside and the Inland Empire, with temperatures reaching the mid 90s in the valleys and triple digits in the Coachella Valley.
The high in the valleys and Inland Empire will be 99 Wednesday and drop to 96 Thursday.
Light winds from the southwest will be around 10 to 15 mph with gusts to 25 mph Wednesday. But the winds will die down Thursday.
By Friday, temperatures are expected to drop to the high 80s. By Saturday, temperatures will be around 80.
The mountains will be warm and windy with highs between 83 to 93.
It will be sunny in the Coachella Valley with highs topping out at 107 Wednesday. It will be sunny and hot on Thursday with highs between 104 and 107.
Temperatures are expected to be in the triple digits in the Coachella Valley until Memorial Day.
