Some relief from the heat is expected Thursday, but not much, with temperatures reaching the mid 90s in the valleys and triple digits in the Coachella Valley.
The high in the valleys and Inland Empire will be 96 Thursday, dropping a few degrees from highs in the area Wednesday.
Light winds from the southwest will be around 10 to 15 mph with gusts to 25 mph Thursday.
By Friday, temperatures are expected to drop to the high 80s. By Saturday, temperatures will be around 80.
The mountains will be warm and windy with highs between 82 to 92.
It will be sunny in the Coachella Valley with highs topping out at 107 Thursday. It will be sunny and hot on Friday with highs between 100 and 103.
Temperatures are expected to be in the triple digits in the Coachella Valley until Memorial Day.
