The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Riverside County rose 1 cent Thursday to $4.467, its largest increase since rising 1.8 cents May 13.
The average price is four-tenths of a cent less than one week ago, 21.8 cents lower than one month ago and 24.6 cents below what it was one year ago, according to figures from AAA and the Oil Price Information Service. It has dropped $1.906 since rising to a record $6.373 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The national average price rose for the ninth consecutive day, increasing 1.8 cents to $3.205. It has risen 8.4 cents over the past nine days, including 2 cents Wednesday.
The national average price is 7.7 cents more than one week ago and 2.6 cents higher than one month ago, but 24.4 cents less than one year ago. It has dropped $1.811 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
